The King of Soho

The King of Soho is a Gin brand created by Alex Robson and Howard Raymond almost as a joke. During an evening spent together sipping a Gin-based cocktail, the two friends began to dream about the possibility of creating a Gin original and of high quality, capable of satisfying the palate of the finest connoisseurs. In no time, the project took shape and the search for the best recipe to create a distillate that could creatively and innovatively fit into the great tradition of London Dry Gin began, not only regarding the distillate but also the packaging, inspired by the artistic atmospheres of the London neighborhood of Soho.

At the base of the new Gin is a careful and lengthy research work on botanicals, to select the most suitable ingredients to maintain a classic taste, but with a touch of originality, that can make the Gin unique and unmistakable. The recipe for Gin The King of Soho is made up of 12 different herbs, plants, flowers, and spices, which thanks to their character complementary, create an aroma of remarkable harmony and expressive balance, fresh and elegant. Obviously, the absolute protagonist of the assembly is the juniper. The berries of this ancient plant from the conifer family have always represented the fundamental note, which gives an intense balsamic breath, typical of the aromatic profile of Gin.

Among the other ingredients, some botanicals stand out in particular. Chamomile, considered one of the sacred herbs of the Saxon peoples, has relaxing and calming properties and is used to provide delicate floral notes and a pleasant feeling of freshness. Another very important botanical is coriander, already cultivated by the ancient Greeks, which contributes to giving a sweet aroma with hints of citrus and floral nuances. Orange peels have always been very important. Their scents and essential oils create very intense aromas that express intense and refreshing fragrances. The grapefruit peel also plays a fundamental role in reinforcing the citrus components of the bouquet with a pleasant bitter nuance. Finally, the licorice, which releases aromatic notes reminiscent of anise, wild fennel, and tarragon. A symphony of aromas of great charm.
